“Last week, the managing director of Trust Bank Ltd delegated me to visit the victims and grief with them; convey Trust Bank’s message of goodwill and hope and also to have a firsthand knowledge of the extent of the damage caused by the fire disaster in order to inform our decision with regards to the level of our intervention. Today’s occasion is the culmination of those events.

He said that “The donation does not only include cash but it also includes the love and generosity of Trust Bank Ltd to the people of Brikama. The amount could have been a lot more but we have already come to the end of the year and almost exhausted our budget for donations. As a matter of fact, we have to do some serious viaments to come up with this amount. This is quite important because it shows how much we value our relationship with the people of Brikama. The relationship has gone beyond just “Banking” but we are very much part of the community of Brikama. As a community, together we rejoice in happiness and grief in sorrow and that is precisely why we are here”.
