YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE MEDIA

The International Children’s Day of Broadcasting has been celebrated worldwide and in the Gambia it was initiated by the Young People in the Media. It is a platform to discover children’s opinion, to showcase their talents and listen to their stories. They also take part in the programming and production process where they talk about their dreams, hopes, fears and challenges in the world.

In commemoration of this event, The Young People in the Media in collaboration with Unique FM radio organized an inter generational dialogue forum between parents, stakeholders, civil society, media personality and young people themselves to debate on the theme of this year Children the Invisible force at the forth front.

We have been partnering with them by sponsoring numerous events that they have organized and as we continue to empower youths in this country, we have decided to once again make a donation to them of D10, 000.00 for their event this year.
