Mr. Modou Lowe is presently Head of Retail Banking at Trust Bank Limited, a position he assumed on 16th November 2020. Prior to this, he was the Head of Risk Management Department from October 2017 up to November 2020.
Modou Lowe began his career at the bank as a teller in February 2010 and rose to the rank of a supervisor under Retail Banking. He was then moved to the Internal Audit Department in 2014 initially as an Audit officer and subsequently rose through the ranks up to the position of a Senior Bank Officer under this department.
With management aware of the extensive knowledge and experience he commanded under Retail banking, Mr. Lowe was seen as a fountain of knowledge and experience whose service would be useful under the internal audit department when enforcements were needed for the department. He excelled very well under the internal audit department and gained recognition through promotions up to the position of a senior bank officer. He was actively involved in the audits of all departments, units, and branches of the bank including the preparations of audit plans, programs, and reports under the auspices of the internal audit department.
In addition to his duties as a Banker, he also served as a part-time lecturer at A and A Financial Training Center in Kanifing which provides courses in accountancy, management, auditing, etc.
Modou Lowe is a Certified Accounting Technician and an Affiliate of ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). In addition to that, he has attended a series of trainings (in-house, on the job, local, and overseas) in the area of Risk Management.
